Apptopia welcomes Director of Human Resources Maurice Haynes to prepare for next phase of growth
Mar 04, 2021

Boston, MA – March 4, 2021 —Apptopia, a market leader in mobile app intelligence, today announced that Maurice Haynes will join its team as director of human resources. Haynes brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, having helped organizations, both large and small, manage and improve the employee life cycle. In his new role, Haynes will establish the infrastructure necessary to support Apptopia through a new wave of hiring and growth. He will also be instrumental in helping the company transition to a remote-first model.
Maurice Haynes joins Apptopia after spending the past year offering life-coaching services and serving as a human resources consultant to organizations in his community. Before his community-focused efforts, Haynes was the director of human resources at two other Boston-based mobile startups, Fiksu and Jana. Preceding those roles, he managed several HR programs at Arnold Worldwide, a full-service advertising agency spanning multiple cities and offices. Haynes credits much of his success to his unique background as a counselor at Work Family Directions, a consulting firm at the forefront of employee work-life solutions.
“My goal is to help Apptopia reach its maximum potential by implementing infrastructure enabling us to scale quickly while never losing sight of the employee experience,” Haynes shared. “My time with the team so far has shown me that Apptopia already has many of the components necessary to be considered the premier place to work in Boston and beyond.”
“We’re thrilled to have Maurice join our team as we enter a new phase of growth,” said Chief Revenue Officer Christian Galvin. “Having worked with him twice before, I have seen firsthand the positive impact he can have on an individual and organizational level. There is no doubt that his experience and qualifications will be critical as we continue to navigate and improve remote-work relations.”
When Haynes is not consulting, coaching, or volunteering, he is pursuing a dual Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Urban Ministry at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. In his spare moments of free time, Haynes administers belly rubs to his two dogs, Davey and Delilah, and mediates any treat-induced squabbles. Haynes is the first of several upcoming leadership appointments for Apptopia.
